FEW THINGS WATER PRIVITISATION AND DESTRUCTION OF OUR WATER QUAILTY AND OUR RIVERS, LAKES, SEAS TEACH US.
1. Private companies produce not things but profit. Whatever they produce they are not really interested in that product: their real interest is the profit. Let us say they produce bread: the staple diet of the working people. Do they produce bread so that working people can eat bread? No they produce bread to make profit-and so long as bread making is profitable they produce bread. The moment it is not profitable they stop producing bread.
2. We can see this most clearly in privatised water companies: they are not interested in producing clean water for us to drink. They are not interested in disposing of our sewage so that it does not destroy our rivers and seas. No. All they worry about is profit. To make profit the quality of water we drink is lowered. To make profit our rivers – and all living things in them- are destroyed. We cannot swim in our rivers and seas. But they are making plenty of profit, and to make this profit they are destroying our water and waterways.
3.Who are the politicians under whose rule these things happen? They are our MPs and Lords and our workers who run the state (Military, religious, legal and civil bureaucracy). What do they do? They do what the bankers and all private companies tell them to do-so that the bankers and private companies-all holders of capital- can make profit.
Water privatisation and its results are a very good example of on the one hand of what the private profiteers are capable of doing for profit, and what the politicians and bureaucrats are capable of doing so that the private profiteers can make their profit.
4. They are capable of selling the water companies to private profiteers. Remember who did the selling of the state owned companies to private profiteers, the politicians of all colour. (Why do I keep thinking of Thatcher, Thatcher the milk snatcher?)(Blair the Bliar?)
The profiteers have made at least £85billion of profit while our water quality fell and our rivers died and our seas were closed to swimming.
I have no doubt that some of our citizens have become sick or even died as a result of swimming in those rivers and seas? Dare I say as a result of drinking that water?
All these years Tories and Labourites have overseen this disregard for us, for our beloved country, for our beloved rivers and lakes and seas.
Why?
For profit!
5. Just last Sunday 20/07/2025, a Tory Shadow minister was adamant that things can only become better and things can only be done if people make profit. Otherwise it seems nothing would happen. “They would not invest”. How monstrous these people are: their capital owning friends will not invest unless they make profit: as we noted: they would not even produce bread for us to eat if they do not make profit from it-but they invested in water and sewage. They did and they did make profit and that is why they invested-not to take care of our water quality for us to drink and to take care of our rivers and seas. Destroy all but make profit.
6. Is this not a criminal behaviour? I think so. I think this is criminality at its worst! But, our makers of laws (MPs and Lords), and our appliers-interpreters of Laws (prosecutors, lawyers, barristers and Judges and teachers of law-not to forget our police forces) do not think so?
Our present Labour government’s not shadow but real minister and again this Sunday 20/07/2025 had declared that he would wait for the report. And the report came out today. It seems companies will carry on making profit at our expense and at the expense of our beloved country!
7. The private owners of capital, will only invest for profit not for us or for our or for our country’s well being. We know this. Water privatisation made this clear. The present day bourgeois politicians serve only these profiteers-not us and not our country.
Labour, Tory, Liberal, Reform, all are at the service of the profiteers. They all are: especially Reform- it is being pushed ahead by all the profiteers and their servants in media. Dare I say even by the Labour and Tory parties.
The thing to do is to transform all capital into our common ownership: when we do so capital does not make profit for its private owner but to serve its new owners: us in common. Than we produce bread to feed ourselves than we clean our water and than if anybody does not do so they are declared criminals acting against us and our beloved country and they get their due punishment that we again in common decide as to what that punishment should be.
One must never forget that we live in the age of internet; thus we can have direct democracy. We can decide on everything all together. Do only things that will serve our country and us. If we make mistake we correct it. If criminals do bad things to harm us we punish them.
If you could do all that would you let them who did the privatisation and them who refuse to confiscate these companies without compensation get away with it without punishment? Would you not punish the shareowners and managers of these private companies for their crimes against our country and us?
I think you would!
